She saw a lot of shortages in the school especially the washroom for the school children was not in good condition, the roof made of asbestos that can cause heat in the classroom during studying and the chairs and tables were far from good. She wanted to donate more for children such as providing them new shoes, books and many kind writing tools.
As I read her Email expressing her wish to donate many new shoes for every children at the school, I had an idea how to help the poor family in Lombok by not giving them just a fish but I would give them fishing gear. By giving them just a fish they would eat up the fish and they need to be given (a fish) again. But if I give them fishing gear they can go fishing from one fish pond to another.
This Al Ijabah Cooperation is then created.
Starting at the end of July 2016 with just limited capital of Rp 20,000,000 (Twenty Million IDR) equal to around USD 1,667.00 from my own pocket, I, Iwan Kurniawan the director of this Al Ijabah Cooperation, have created this Al Ijabah Cooperation. But some more things need extra to buy such as laptop, chairs, cupboards, books and an expensive accounting systems software. This system cost us alone Rp. 15,000,000.00 (Fifteen Million IDR) equal to USD 1,250.00. But thanks to software developer we may pay them in credit every month Rp 2,500,000.00 for five months, otherwise we can not pay it.

As mentioned above that we need to give support to the poor families with their small business. We do not give the fish because if the fish eaten up we need to give them more and more fish. But if we give them the fishing gear to fish they can go everywhere they want to, to catch the fish for themselves.
In many villages in Lombok the people like doing their business but they don't have capital. They don't have the money to start their business. In that kind of situation we come to them ask if they really want to start a business by owning a small shop selling all kinds of stuffs for the daily life of the local people such as rice, soaps, cigarettes, sugar and so on. Small things for small businesses where they just need some hundreds thousands rupiah. The range of the credit they can get for this kind of small business between 500,000.00 IDR (USD 42.00) - 2,000,000 IDR (USD 167.00). In the future they start to pay their credit back in the next month with very small interests according to the agreement the both parties made. The interests is not decided by the cooperation Al Ijabah but the two parties must agree to each other and signed under an agreement letter.
Example:
Debtor receive fund 500,000.00 IDR (USD 42.00) and agree to pay back the credit every week for 5 weeks. 500,000.00 IDR (USD 42.00) : 5 weeks = 100,000.00 IDR (USD 8.00) + interests (both parties should talk to each other how much interests the debtor want to pay) It can be 10,000.00 means debtor should pay 110,000.00 IDR (USD 9.00) every week or may be the debtor want to pay 15,000.00 interests means the debtor should pay 115,000.00 IDR (USD 10.00) every week and so on. The interests will be paid according to the agreement of both parties and not decided by creditor Cooperation Al Ijabah alone.

Al Ijabah has developed so much but lack of money.
In the first month we did have only 10 members that consists of people who are doing small businesses with their small shops and the second month there are more people who join us at the number of 36 members. And now in third month we have now around 60 members of small businessmen and about 28 people are waiting for fresh fund from the Cooperation of Al Ijabah. Some time they have to wait very long about 2 weeks to get the fund. In the coming months the number of debitor should be raising up significantly because more and more people are coming to us and asking for help.
We Cooperation Al Ijabah need fresh fund of about 150,000,000.00 IDR (One Hundred and Fifty Million IDR) equal to USD 12,500.00 to help more people to start and run their small businesses.
Who are involved?
I am proud of having created this Cooperation Al Ijabah that means I have helped those who are involved in this activity getting job and have income for their lives and family because most of them don't have job. But they do this job with joy and happiness event they are still not paid well due to lack of fresh money.
